Biossance, Youth to the People & Ole Henriksen!

Updated: Mar 9

As promised, here is my current skincare lineup! I've recently experienced a pretty drastic change in skin condition. Reasons including extreme stress, hormonal fluctuation and an entirely new, cold and dry climate. To say the least, my skin has not reacted well. Changing up of diet helps a bit but what it's really come down to is the dryness of my skin and the evident aging lines from that dryness. (Any hormonal breakouts can only be corrected medically as I have PCOS and therefore have to be very careful with what I eat.) SO, let's get to it!

We'll start with the first product line I tried, Biossance. I became interested in this particular skincare line due to a story about it from an Australian yogi.(@sjanaelise & sjana.com.au) I was intrigued by it's clean beauty label and raving reviews of it's hydration properties.

What I ended up loving: SQUALANE + LACTIC ACID RESURFACING NIGHT SERUM

(wonderful for tightening up and clearing out impurities overnight)

SQUALANE + VITAMIN C ROSE OIL

(when in need of extreme hydration)

SQUALANE + MARINE ALGAE EYE CREAM

(for everyday use)

The second product line I tried, Youth to the People. This product line actually caught my eye when I was researching Biossance. I loved the beautiful colors and glass reusable containers. And like the previous brand, this was also an environmentally conscious vegan skincare line. (I am not a vegan, but I LOVE vegan skincare products as they use far less harsh chemicals and foreign substances on your skin) What really caught my eye was their night mask, so pretty.

What I ended up loving: Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask

(I use this every night, it gives my skin such a dewy glow in the morning)

Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial

(I use this once in awhile, oh my, such a good facial, very clean and energizing) Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner

(I use this a couple times a week, whips my skin right back into a tight shape) Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Oil

(when in need of extreme hydration)

The third product line I tried, Ole Henriksen. I had seen a few beauty bloggers rave about some of their products and my sister had recently been using them as well. So, I figured it was high time I see what all the fuss was about. They didn't disappoint. (fun fact: they smell like your vitamin c tablets, so yummy)

What I ended up loving: C-Rush™ Brightening Gel Crème

(This gave my skin the most amazing fresh glow)

Banana Bright™ Eye Crème

(I would use this anytime I'm really tired)
